All the fashion talking points
Watch: Emmy Awards 2021: Huge night for UK stars as The Crown and Ted Lasso dominate.
After going virtual last year, the Emmy’s 2021 kicked off in person last night, meaning a return to red carpet appearances from some of our favourite TV stars.
Following last week’s incredible fashion moments at the Met Gala, we were expecting big things, and the looks, while a little more subtle, certainly didn’t disappoint.
Now in its 73rd year, the event, hosted by Cedric the Entertainer for the first time, saw big wins for The Crown, Ted Lasso, and I May Destroy You, and as well as scooping their fair share of awards, the Brits also rocked it on the red carpet with Kate Winslet, Olivia Coleman and Michaela Coel all doing themselves proud in the style stakes.
While most were in attendance at the glittering do in Los Angeles, Netflix put on a special break-out event for The Crown stars who were unable to fly across the pond due to coronavirus restrictions.
Away from the accolades, the ceremony delivered tons of glamorous gowns, some covetable new fashion trends and more than a few talking points – The Crown’s Emma Corrin swapping her crown for a bonnet to name just one.
